Each level of instruction is based on thematic units that include pre-reading and pre-math, but teachers also help children develop social skills and promote self-esteem. Many different curriculums have been combined to form what we feel is best for our program and the children at C.A.S.A.
In addition to individual class curriculum, C.A.S.A. offers six special classes to expose children to new interests and help broaden horizons:
Bible & Missions
Stories. Crafts. Games. Songs. During Bible & Missions, all children learn about the love of God and engage in hands-on mission work.
Why do leaves change color? What is momentum? What is gravity? Basic concepts are explained and demonstrated in Science for our threes-K5.
Fine motor skills. Problem solving. Letters, numbers and cognitive reasoning. Threes-K5 learn how to use the computer while learning, er, having fun!
In addition to recess, all students participate in Movement, where kids play games, have relay races and use gross motor skills to run, hop, march, balance, and MOVE!
Animals. Colors. The human body. Greetings. Our four and five-year-olds will learn basic Spanish words and phrases during this interactive class.
Singing. Dancing. Instruments. All children are given the opportunity to express themselves in Music class and even participate in concerts throughout the year.
